Gulfstream Park has an 11-race card Saturday, Sept. 23rd.
First post is at 12:50 PM in Hallandale Beach, Fla.
One handicap race is planned, the sixth race is the Gulfstream Handicap featuring a field of 7, running 7 furlongs on the dirt track for 3 year-olds. The M/L favorite is Big and Classy running in the 7 post. Hmmm, that's a lot of sevens, folks!
The 6th race kicks off the Rainbow 6 wager, the sole carryover Saturday at $86,179, and will get underway with race #6 near 3:25 p.m.
On Friday, 6 of 6 paid $680.06 to
35 winners. Four of the 9 races were won by favorites, 4 in the last 6
races. That watered down the payoff, and the 7 scratched horses in the
Rainbow sequence hurt also.
The winning Rainbow 6 program #'s: 2-3/7/8-4/5/6-1/9-7-2/8.
Total all-sources track handle was $3.16 million Friday.
