Prevalence (4), at 5-1, and In Italian (9), at 5-2, won Saturday's eighth and ninth races respectively, to start the Rainbow 6 and Late Pick 5 at Gulfstream Park.
The eighth race was a $62,500 optional claimer at one mile on dirt. Betting on the Rainbow 6 was $516,609. The carryover coming in was $150,717.
The ninth race was the Honey Fox at one mile on turf for fillies and mares 4-YO and up. Betting on the Late Pick 5 was $1,331,831.
Still to come are the Gulfstream Park Mile on dirt for 4-yo and up; the MacDiarmida (Grade 2) at 1 3/8 miles on turf for 4-YO and up; the Fountain of Youth (Grade 2) at 1-1/16 miles on dirt for 3-YO; and the Herecomesthebride at one mile on turf for 3-YO fillies.
