Gulfstream's
Friday card will feature 9 races, with no stakes races planned. It's
race day 50 in the Championship meet that will end April 3rd.
First post time is 12:30 PM, while last post is 4:42 PM.
The sole carryover is again the Rainbow 6 with $390,974.
The Rainbow 6 sequence starts in race 4 with an estimated post time of 2:02 PM.
Gulfstream again will guarantee a gross pool of $600,000 if the wagering does not surpass that.
In Thursday's racing action, 61 starters ran in 9 races, while 41 horses were gated in the Rainbow 6 races.
The Rainbow 6 paid $147.76 to
about 560 winners. As the recent trend continues, no longshot won; the
high odds winner was 3.7:1 in race 9. Three favorites won in the 6
races.
The Rainbow 6 betting pool was $149,959 Thursday. Interestingly, the Late Pick 5 paid just $103.25 while it attracted $253,869 in wagers. Perhaps bettors are favoring the Pick 5 over the Rainbow 6 now?
