Today is "Turf Champions Day" at the Downs. The ten race card is highlighted by a pair of Grade 3 grass races, both with purses of $175,000. These appear to be wide open betting events with full fields and a variety of runners from some of the sport's best barns. The first Post time is scheduled for 12:13 PM.

Grade 3 Stakes action starts in RACE 6 at 2:39 with THE ENDEAVOUR STAKES. Older Fillies and Mares will travel a mile and one-sixteenth on the firm going.
THE BET: $10 to win on LADY SPEIGHTSPEARE (3) ($10) and a $2 three horse exacta box with that one and BLEEKER STREET (2) and MORNING MOLLY (9) ($12) 2,3,9. Total Bet $22
The second half of the Stakes double header takes place at 3:43 in RACE 8. THE TAMPA BAY STAKES, also at eight and one half grassy furlongs, features a dozen salty veterans of the sod.
THE BET: $10 to win on GET SMOKIN (7) ($10) and a three horse $2 exacta box with that one and TALK OR LISTEN (8) and DEVAMANI (10) 7,8,10 ($12) Total Bet $22 GOOD LUCK!
PREVIOUS RESULTS 2/4/22 Good news, had the winner and exacta. Not so good news, the winner was bet down to odds-on chalk. Collected $34.30 on the $32 in bets, a profit of $2.30. The bankroll is now $942.30.
