Gulfstream's Saturday; Stakes and Carryovers 12:30 Post

Gulfstream Park plans an 12 race card Saturday, with a first post of 12:30 PM, and a last post time of 6:30 PM. That will give race enthusiasts a brief gap to grab a spot of food and settle in to watch the Preakness Stakes at a 6:48 PM post time on the simulcast TV's.

There's a 15% chance of rain forecast, with mid-80's temps planned at the Hallandale Beach, Florida racetrack.


One Stakes race is planned for Gulfstream's day - the Musical Romance Stakes, a 7 furlong run on the dirt for 3 y/o and up; fillies and mares - $100,000 purse.

Stormy Embrace is the M/L favorite at 9:5 in the field of 8. It'll be race 10 at a 5:20 PM post time.
Friday's races were back on the turf, as 78 starters ran for $351,000 in purses, with 4 favorites entering the winners circle. Eight favorites were 'in the money' of the 12 races.The Rainbow 6 will start with race 7 at approx. 3:47 PM.
