Gulfstream Park plans an 9-race
card Friday, with a first post of 12:45 PM. No stakes nor 2-year-olds
race. 76 starters are listed, the same number that left the gates
Thursday. See the carryovers and payouts listed below.
On Thursday's 10 race card, a couple of longer odds wins by Raven in race 8 and War Star in race 10 made for nice payouts. R Sea Smoke
the M/L favorite at 6:5 in race 8, placed 4th in the field of 6. Raven
won by 1/2 length. We warned that this race would be a tough handicap.
Raven went off at 9.8:1. The $1 Exacta paid a generous $46.70.
Fifty-three starters competed in the Rainbow 6 races (#5-10), where the high-odds winner was War Star in the last race at 23:1. Here are the late race payouts that stood out.
Late Pick 4 paid: $1,840
Late Pick 5 paid: $3,623
Rainbow 6 paid: $9,501 to 12 winners. The Rainbow 6 pool was $212,192.
Carryovers:
Again, the Rainbow 6 carryover grows to $869,065 for Friday, as
the elusive single winner to this wager has yet to occur this meet, now
entering it's 22nd race day. The $1 Super Hi-5 wager was not hit
Thursday late, so that carryover will be $2,497 in race 1 Friday if 7
starters leave the gate (the minimum for that bet).
The Rainbow 6 will kicks off in race #4 at about a 2:13 PM Post Time.
Total track handle from all sources was $5.51 million Thursday.
Enjoy your race day!
