Gulfstream Park will have a Late Pick 5 carryover of $51,364 when it resumes racing on Thursday with a ten-race card and first post of 1:15 p.m.
The carryover is a consequence of there being no tickets with the winners of all late Pick 5 races on Sunday.
Tickets with four winners paid $218.10 on a 50 cent bet--the minimum on the Late Pick 5.
Also on Thursday at Gulfstream, there will be a new pool on the Rainbow 6.
That is the result of there being just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races on Sunday. That still unidentified bettor or betting team took down a jackpot/carryover payoff of $101,835.40 on the 20-cent only bet.
The limited number of winning tickets on both bets is largely the result of Break Away, at 36-1, winning the seventh race and Ever So d'Wild, at 28-1, wining the eighth race.
On Thursday, the Rainbow 6 will be on races five through ten, with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:19 p.m.
The Late Pick 5 will be on races six through ten, with the sequence set to start a 3:52 p.m.
On Sunday, $80,575 was bet on the Late Pick 5. Based n past cases with large overnight Pick 5 carryovers at Gulfstream, it is likely that $300,000 or more will be wagered on the Late Pick 5 on Thursday.
