The Rainbow 6 carryover keeps growing at a fast pace at Gulfstream Park, and it will be $522,242.53. on Sunday.
(Note--in the article below this one, we will point out "just how fast" the Rainbow6 pool is growing).
Gulfstream has an 11-race card with first post at 1:10 p.m.
The Rainbow 6 is on races six to eleven with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:40 p.m.
There were seven tickets with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races on Saturday. Each of those tickets paid $20,240.04 on the 20-cent only bet.
Saturday was the 12th straight race day with multiple winning Rainbow 6 tickets, and thus the jackpot/carryover keeps growing.
The jackpot/carryover consists of the entire carryover plus 80 percent of the day's new Rainbow 6 bet (20 percent takeout).
Gulfstream pays that out only on days when there is just one ticket with all six winners or on pre-announced mandatory payout days when it pays out the jackpot/carryover--no matter the number of winning tickets.
On most days, such as Saturday, Gulfstream takes out 20 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bets, divides 56 percent of that bet among winning tickets and adds 24 percent to the carryover.
On Saturday the carryover coming in was $461,519. Bettors added $253,099 to the pool. Under the 20-56-24 rule, the carryover grows to $522,242.53 for Sunday.
