A seven-furlong dirt race for 3-year-old fillies and a Rainbow 6 carryover
of $218,821 are the major attractions at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday.
Gulfstream has a nine-race card with first post of 1:15 p.m.
The Rainbow 6 begins on the fourth race, with scheduled post of 2:53 p.m.
The carryover on the 20-cent per combination-only bet has grown
because Gulfstream has gone twelve days
without the jackpot payoff requirement of just one ticket with the winners of
all six Rainbow 6 races.
The seventh and feature race is a $50,000 optional claimer for
3-year-old fillies, with a
$34,000 purse.
Queen Roller, Rich Mommy and E Z’s Mistress are likely favorites in the
eight-horse field.
A key question will be whether any of the other horses will challenge the
speedy Queen Roller for the early lead
and thus help the chances of the other top contenders.
