Kentucky Oaks--A Final Look

The Kentucky Oaks is  coming up with a scheduled post at 6;12  p.m. on a  sloppy  and  sealed track.

Our handicapper  Bob Bauer is calling it in this order:  Paradise Woods  (4), Miss Sky Warrior  (10), Abel Tasman (13)  and Farrell (7).

Bob says to look out for Farrell because she has two  wins on off tracks. She also  has early speed,
which for the most part has been needed to hit  the  board on the sloppy dirt today.

But in the ninth race, an optional claimer for older  males, 31-1 shot Task Force Glory rallied from tenth place after a half mile and moved up along the rail for the win.  It was a 1 1/16 mile optional claimer on dirt for older males.

That might hold out some hope for Salty in post 14.  Salty won the 1 /16 mile Gulfstream Park Oaks  (Grade 2) on April 1.

She has  a closing style, and might be  good  enough to hit the  board today.
