Here's what has been happening at GP West on Florida bred day;
*Carlo Vaccarezza is having perhaps his biggest day other thanthe graded stakes wins by Little Mike.
His new trainee Jewel of a Cat, a 5-year old mare, won the Turf Sprint Preview, Katie's Kiss finished second--making
it a distaff exacta. All the other runners were males.
Jewel of a Cat had been a prominent turf sprinter in the northeast for trainer Ben Perkins. The ownership group sent her to Vaccarezza six weeks ago.
Three races later, Little Nick V won the Juvenile Turf. He is owned by Little Dreams Racing of which Vaccarezza is managing partner.
