The dirt track is listed as Fast and the turf is listed as Firm as racing begins at Churchill Downs on Kentucky Derby day,

However, the Weather Channel  forecast for Louisville, Ky.,  is for the chance of  rain to be  between  40  percent and 80 percent from early  afternoon through  early evening.

The scheduled post tine is 6:50 p.m. for the Kentucky Derby (Grade 1) at 1 1/4 miles on dirt  for  3-year-olds.
