Gulfstream Park has an 11-race card Saturday, October 28th.
First post is at 12:50 PM in Hallandale Beach, Fla. No stakes races are on the card today.
Race 6 kicks off the Rainbow 6 wager at about 3:20 PM with a carryover Saturday of $15,764. Recall that the jackpot was hit October 21st, which reset the carryover. Gulfstream is offering a $50,000
guaranteed gross pool today if the betting does not reach that amount.
The wagering tends to rise with the carryover, reaching a crescendo when
the mandatory payout day is announced.
On Friday, 3 lucky bettors in the Rainbow bet took down $4,480.36. Interestingly, no race-time favorites won, but all favorites were 'in-the-money' except Performing Arts (2:1) which finished last in race 6. Uncle Armando got the win at 7:1 odds. We count just 6 racing days this year that no favorites won their race.
The winning Rainbow 6 program #'s: 7-3-2-4-10-8.
Total all-sources track handle was $2.72 million Friday.
