Gulfstream Park has a 9-race card Friday. First post is at 12:10 PM.
Gulfstream is migrating to a 5 day race-week starting Dec. 7th, next
Wednesday. Post time is 12:10 P.M. Wednesday through Sunday. That
complete story can be found here from the Gulfstream Park media office: https://tinyurl.com/526puscd
No
stakes races are on the Friday card. The 4th through 9th races are the
Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:35 PM. The carryover there
is $71,037.
The Super Hi-5 wager was not hit Thursday in the last race, so that'll carry forward $2,252 to Friday's first race.
Also, the Late Pick 5 was also not hit (quite rare), but paid $6,308.15 to 16 winners Thursday.
That'll carryover at $75,698. It
was an off-turf day Thursday; ironic in that Gulfstream planned their
first turf races since June! Showery conditions took the 3 races
off-turf to the all-weather track.
Three long-odds wins by 12:1, 10:1 and 35:1 horses were too much to handle for the bettors of the late races. Summer Shandee at 35:1 won the last race in the 11 horse field.
The Late Pick 4 paid $30,380 to 3 winners, and the Rainbow 6 paid on 5 of 6 $9,390.46.
Total all-sources track handle was $3.93 million Thursday, along with a $316,000 purse size.
We wish all our readers a safe and prosperous Holiday Season!
