Gulfstream
Park has an 8 races card scheduled for Thursday. First post is at 1:05
PM, and the last post is 4:53 PM. Recall that last weekend's races were
cancelled due to Tropical Storm Alex.
There are no stakes races on the day. The 3rd through 8th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 2:13 PM.
The two carryovers on the day are the Rainbow 6 at $525,978, and the Super Hi-5 at $3,866. Gulfstream is guaranteeing a $700,000 gross pool on the Rainbow 6 if wagering + the carryover does not total that amount.
In last Friday's (6/3) racing action, 7 winners hit the Rainbow 6, each pocketing a tidy sum of $6,701.04. Two favorites won in the Rainbow 6 races, and the 15:1 Check the Grade was the longshot win in race 10. The late Pick 5 paid $4,017.45 to about 12 winners also. The Super High-5 wager should be a bet in race #1,
as 8 starters are listed. Seven is the minimum for this $1 wager.
All
three turf races were moved to the All-Weather track for safety reasons.
Bettors added $81,254 to the wagering, with 44 horses running in the Rainbow 6.
Total all-sources track handle was $2.997 million Friday.
Be safe out there !
