GPW Rainbow 6 Carryover Passes $600,000

There were ten tickets with all six  winning horses in the Rainbow 6 at the Gulfstream  Park  West  meet on Thursday.

Each received $6,548.56 on the 20-cent per combination only bet

Because there was more than one winning ticket, the Rainbow 6 carryover continues for a 27th day (entire  GP West meet thus far).

The carryover will be $603,725 Friday on the eight-race  card at Calder in Miami Gardens.

First post is 1:20 p.m.  The Rainbow 6 is on races three to eight, with the sequence scheduled to start at  2:20 p.m.

We  will have coverage this afternoon on this  blog.

On Thursday, program numbers of the wiinning horses were 5-6-2-5-8-6.  All winners were at 6-1  or lower.

The carryover coming into Thursday was $575,659.

Heading into  the eighth and last race there were live tickets with  87 live combinations. None  of those tickets had a horse singled.

Dad's Yamkees, at  6-1, won the race--eliminating all but ten combinations (tickets).  The Rainbow 6 does not have consolation payoffs, such as five of six winners.

Bettors added $116,957 to the Rainbow 6. After the 20 percent takeout, meet sponsor Gulfstream Park divided 56 percent of the  day's bet among the ten winning tickets and added 24 percent to the carryover.
