Gulfstream: Ten Thursday Races, Carryover Passes $1.4 Million

Racing resumes Thursday at Gulfstream Park, with 10 races scheduled and a 1:15 PM EDT first post. With Daylight Saving time ending, GP's post times will be later due to the increased light-time (good for handicappers if you are a late-riser). There are no stakes races planned today. Last post time will be about 5:50 PM. G.P. plans for this 1:15 PM first post for it's Wed., Thurs., and Friday race days the rest of this meet. We'll update you if this changes.
In the carryover news, the wagering carryovers Thursday will include the Rainbow 6, starting in race 5 at approx. 3:15 PM.  The growing carryover is now $1,425,670 if a single winner exists for all 6 races bet to win. In Wednesdays action, 78 starters ran 11 races with just 3 favorites entering the winners circle.
166 bettors collected $1,016 each on the winning Rainbow wager. Just 1 favorite won in the last 6 races, but the high-odds winner was just 4.5:1, leading to miserly payouts.
Bettors added $301,308 the Rainbow 6 pool.
The late Pick 4 paid $96.45 on the minimum 50 cent bet.
The late Pick 5 paid just $219.60. The Super Hi-5 was not hit in race 11, so $6,038 gets carried over for Thursday, no doubt to be run in race 1.
Total all-sources handle was $6.043 million.
