The $100,000 Sweetest Chant (Grade 3) is coming up at Gulfstream, at one mile on turf for 3-year-old fillies.
It is the 11th race with expected post around 5:10 p.m.
The nine-horse field has a Bit Special (7), who last fall won the Our Dear Peg and the Wait A While at Gulfstream. Both races were one mile on turf and were ungraded.
Julien Leparoux will ride A Bit Special for trainer Patrick Biancone.
But the favorite might be either La Feve (1) or Regal Glory (6). Both are trained by Chad Brown, who has the Ortiz brothers on board.
La Feve is making her U.S. debut, after racing in France where she finished third in a Group 3 stakes. Irad Ortiz Jr,. has the mount.
Regal Glory is coming off a win in a six-furlong non-graded turf stakes at Aqueduct. As a daughter of Animal Kingdom, she should be able to handle the added distance. Jose Ortiz has the mount.
The late-running Hard Legacy (3) and speedster Eyeinthesky (5) should be considered for use in exacta boxes.
