Porter Street (6) rallied from sixth and last place entering the final turn and beat the early leader Gemonteer (1) by two lengths in Friday's third race at Gulfstream.
Porter Street, at 7-2, won the one mile turf race in 1:34.84 on the course listed as firm. Oscar Ulloa rode the 4-year-old colt for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. Gemonteer, coming off a first out win, was sent off at 4-1.
The race was a $50,000 optional claimer for 3-year-olds and up.
The $2 exacta paid $39.10.
Cometin (5) at 9-1 closed to finish third. He was followed by Hideaway Hero (2), General Paddy (3) and the 8-5 favorite Bon Raison (4).
The win was the fourth in 14 career starts for Porter Street, with all of the wins on the GP turf.
Porter Street, a son of Giant;s Causeway, was not in for a tag.,
