He 8-year--old gelding Fan Base, at 8-1,won Saturday's first race at Gulfstream Park.
He ran 7 1/2 furlongs in 1:29.86 on turf in the $20,000 claiming race. Miguel Angel Vasqauez rode for trainer Joe Catanese.
The main track is listed as Fast, the Turf is listed as Firm and skies are clear.
The 11-race card has five stakes races--all Grade 3 with $100,000 purses
The first stakes, the fifth race, is the Rampart at one mile on dirt for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.

*The carryover on the Rainbow 6 is $91,118. It is on races six to eleven.
