Bauer Edged Out in Late Pick 5 at Tampa

Bob Bauer, our handicapper and Tampa Bay correspondent, had the winners in each of the first four races in Friday's heavily  bet Late Pick 5 at Tampa Bay Downs.


Bob's bid for a multi-thousand dollar payoff for himself, and followers, ended in the tenth race--the final leg of the Late Pick 5.
His two horses in the race, Slick as Ice (2) and Bombonero (5) rallied near the end of the race but finished third and fourth respectively.
Thurston (3) won the race at  11-1, followed by Fast Flying Fred (4) at 16-1.
