GP Rainbow 6 Carryover Grows to $102,562

Park will have a Rainbow 6 carryover
of $102,562 on Monday.

12:45 p.m. for a special 12-race Labor Day card.
The Rainbow 6
is on races seven through 12, with the
sequence scheduled to start at 3:39 p.m.
On Sunday,
there were 19 tickets with all six winners in the Rainbow 6. Each received $2,185.44 on a 20 cent bet.
The carryover
has been growing because Sunday was the ninth straight race day without the
jackpot payoff requirement of just one ticket with all six winning horses in
the Rainbow 6.
The jackpot is
comprised of the entire carryover plus
80 percent of the day’s wagering on the
Rainbow 6. There is a 20 percent takeout.
On
days when there are multiple tickets with
all six winners Gulfstream takes out 20
percent of the day’s bet, divides 56 percent among tickets with six winners and
adds 24 percent to the carryover.
The
Rainbow 6 is a 20-cent per combination-only bet. Multiple horses can be used in
each race, thus setting up a ticket with multiple 20 cent combinations. For
example, a ticket with two horses in each race has 64 combinations and costs
$12.80.
