Gulfstream: The Week Ahead

Gulfstream Park will resume racing on Thursday with a ten-race card and first post of 1:15 p.m.

It will be the start of a standard four days of racing-Thursday through Sunday--for the Gulfstream summer meet.

The carryover is $71,515 on the Rainbow 6, on races five through ten.

On the first race, there is a carryover of $3,634 on the Super Hi-5.

There are 95 entrants, including three Main Track Only, for the ten races.

The feature ninth race is six furlongs on dirt for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.  It is a $25,000 optional claimer with a $43,000 purse.

The Gulfstream Condition Book lists two stakes races for the upcoming weekend.

For Saturday, it shows the $50,000 Trinniberg Handicap at seven furlongs on dirt for 3-year-olds and up that have not won an open stake (stakes races restricted to Florida breds are not open stakes).
For Sunday, the Condition Book shows the $50,000 Panama City Handicap at one mile on turf for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.
