Gulfstream: The Week Ahead
Gulfstream Park will resume racing on Thursday with a ten-race
card and first post of 1:15 p.m.
It will be the start of a standard four days of racing-Thursday
through Sunday--for the Gulfstream summer meet.
The carryover is $71,515 on the Rainbow 6, on races five
through ten.
On the first race, there is a carryover of $3,634 on the
Super Hi-5.
There are 95 entrants, including three Main Track Only, for
the ten races.
The feature ninth race is six furlongs on dirt for fillies
and mares 3-years-old and up. It is a
$25,000 optional claimer with a $43,000 purse.
The Gulfstream Condition Book lists two stakes races for the upcoming weekend.
For Saturday, it shows the $50,000 Trinniberg Handicap at
seven furlongs on dirt for 3-year-olds and up that have not won an open stake
(stakes races restricted to Florida breds are not open stakes).
For Sunday, the Condition Book shows the $50,000 Panama
City Handicap at one mile on turf for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.
