Gulfstream's Rainbow 6 Jackpot Now $1.51 Million

Racing resumes Friday at Gulfstream Park, with 10 races scheduled and a 1:15 PM EDT first post.

With Daylight Saving time ended, the last post is 6:10 pm, just in time to wager and head over to Gulfstream Village for some food and drink for dinner.


Gulfstream plans for this 1:15 PM first post for it's Wed., Thurs., and Friday race days the rest of this meet. We'll update you if this changes. Weekend post times will vary.


In the carryover news, the wagering carryovers Friday will include the Rainbow 6, starting in race 5 at approx. 3:30 PM.  The growing carryover is now $1,509,826 if a single winner exists for all 6 races bet to win. In Thursday's  action, 74 starters ran 10 races with 6 favorites entering the winners circle. 

560 bettors collected a lowly $349.62 each on the winning Rainbow wager. Three favorites won in the last 6 races, but Face of Victory the high-odds winner on the day at 15:1 won the 7th race. That was not enough to whittle down the live tickets much in the remaining 3 races.

Bettors added $350,744 the Rainbow 6 pool, and the carryover increased by $84,156.

The late Pick 4 paid $135 on the minimum 50 cent bet.

The late Pick 5 paid just $255 The Super Hi-5 was hit in race 10, so no carryover there today.

Low-Odds Horses Win First Two Legs of Rainbow 6

Eastern Princess (1) at 3-1 won the fifth race and the even-money favorite  Courage  and Honor (5)  won the sixth race at  ;mGulfstream on Thursday.

Those  races were the start of  the Rainbow  6  and Late Pick 5 , respectively, on  the  ten-race card.  Conditions are listed  as fast  and firm.

The  Rainbow  6  carryover  coming in  was $1,425,670.  Bettors  added $350.744 to the pool.

Wagering on the  Late Pick  5  was $298,390.
