Friday's Gulfstream Racing; Thursday's Results

Gulfstream Park has a 9-race program Friday. First post is at 12:40 PM.

No stakes races are on the Friday card. The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 2:10 PM. The carryover there is $0. That's due to a jackpot win in Thursday's racing. The single winner was paid $42,893.78.

That made for back-to-back jackpot wins on the Rainbow 6 wager. Last Sunday's mandatory payout (see prior post) paid out $8,187.14 to 694 winners. The last back-to-back without a mandatory payout was Nov. 4-5 last year.

In Thursday's action, three favorites won in the Rainbow 6 races, the high odds being races 4 and 5 at 13:1 when Haruki won by a head, and Extraction Will won by 1 length.

The winning program numbers on the last 6 races were: 5-3-9-2/7-2-4. The Late Pick 4 and Late Pick 5 paid $397.20 and $9,097.20 respectively.

by HorseRacing FLA staff
Gulfstream Park has a 8-race card Thursday, April 6th.

First post is at 12:40 PM.
This is the start of the Summer meet at Gulfstream; termed the Royal Palm Meet with live racing Thursday through Sunday at the Hallandale Beach, Fla. track. This meet ends August 27th.

No stakes races are on the Thursday card. The 3rd through 8th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:38 PM. There are no carryovers, since the Rainbow 6 Jackpot was paid out last Sunday. About 700 winners collected $8,187.14 each in the Rainbow 6. The wagering was $5.91 million on this bet - and 3 winners were favorites. $5.91 million would buy 29.55 million combination bets at $0.20 each. To cover every combination for all 56 runners would cost you $115,200.

56 horses competed in the Rainbow 6 races.

The program winners were: 4-5-2-5/9-4/13-3/7/9.

The late Pick 4 and 5 paid $236.50 and $758.00 respectively.

Total all-sources track handle was $17.92 million Sunday, along with a $587,000 purse size.

See you in the winners circle !
