Gulfstream's Sunday; 14 Races, Mandatory Pick 6 Payout; 12 Noon Post Time

Gulfstream Park has a 14-race card scheduled for Sunday. First post is at 12:00 PM.

There are two stakes races on the card. Race 6; the Soldier's Dance, and Ginger Punch. It is for three y/o and up; 7-1/2 furlongs on the turf. The purse is $65,000. Soldier's Dance stakes will  be run in race 13. The 9th through 14th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 4:15 PM.
Gulfstream is cramming the race card full-up due to last weekend's cancellations due to weather. Fourteen race days are rare outside of major events like the Florida Derby, Fountain of Youth and Summit of Speed.

Gulfstream also announced a mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 pool on Sunday. Gulfstream is not providing a guarantee, but estimating a $4 million pool. The carryover is $604,102.

In Saturday's 14 races, 64 bettors were paid $1,167.00 each on the Rainbow 6 win. Race 12 was taken off the turf late, so bettors got the ALL, which lowered the bar to win the wager. Fifty horses ran in the last 6 races.

Two favorites won in the Rainbow 6 races.
Total runners entering the gate was 133 Saturday.
Total all-sources track handle was a huge $11.4 million.
