Gulfstream Park has a 10-race card Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24th.
First post is at 12:10 p.m. in Hallandale Beach, Fla, continuing the Champion's Meet that started December 1st.
One handicap race, the H. Allen Jerkens, will be race 6 at 2:35 PM. It's a $100,000 race for 3 year-olds. This race was postponed from last Saturday when heavy rains cancelled 3 races .Value Engineering at 9:5 is the favorite for the 2 mile turf jaunt.
In
Saturday's racing action, 6 favorites won on the day, and just two in
the last 6 races made for higher payouts. Nine to one and 12:1 wins in
two of the Stakes races hampered the bettors in the multiple race bets.
The Rainbow 6 jackpot was hit on Friday paying $324,724 to a single winner. Still, that bet attracted $892,105 in new money on Saturday, resulting in about 110 winners paid $6,399.76 each. Read Gulfsteam's Media post on the stakes race wins Saturday at: https://www.gulfstreampark.com/news/
So the Rainbow 6 carryover resets to zero Sunday, while the Super High 5 bet carryover is $6,903 in race 1, or the first races with 7 or more starters.
The winning Rainbow 6 program #'s Saturday were: 2-3/8-11-8-9-7.
Total all-sources track handle was $16.0 million Saturday, the highest daily handle since April 2 when a mandatory payout was also announced. $17.9 million was the total handle that day.
