Park racing plans a 10-race program Friday with a 12:10 p.m. post time.
The Friday and Saturday weather over the Florida peninsula is showing
much rain and near 20 knot winds during racing hours. Sunday should be
much better for the 12:10 PM post time.
The
5th through 10th races are the Rainbow 6 races Friday, starting at
approximately 2:05 PM. The carryover Friday on this bet will be $147,098, with Gulfstream offering a $200,000 guaranteed gross pool if a single winner emerges.
In Thursday's racing, the Rainbow 6 paid out $702.70 to about 60 winners. Four races were won by the post-time favorite, and the largest odds win was by Calycanthus at 15:1 in race 8 paying $32.40 for the WIN.
The winning program numbers on the Rainbow 6 (last 6 races) were: 1-2/5-3/4-7-1-3/6/7 . The
betting pool was $73,064 on the Rainbow 6. The late Pick 5 was also
watered down by the favorites winning and the 4 scratches combined in
the last 6 races.
Total all-sources track handle was a respectable $4.39 million Thursday.
