Gulfstream will run 9 races Sunday, with a 12:50 PM first post.
No stakes races are planned on the day.
In Saturday's racing, Streaking Gray (7:1) and Mo Riss (5:1) won their respective races Saturday, but those odds were not enough to get decent payouts on the mutiple race wagers.
The Rainbow 6 paid just $413.96 to about 90 bettors, while late pick 4 and pick 5 paid a smallish $26.45 and $154.95 respectively. The early pick 5 garnered $490.65,
the highest payout we saw on the day sans the Super High 5 payouts in
some races. Four horses were scratched in the last 6 races, which hurt
the payout even more.
The winning program numbers for the last 6 races were: 3-3-3/4/5-2/4-2/7-1.
So the Rainbow 6 starts Sunday with a $33,044 carryover.
The Super High 5 bet could garner attention Sunday, as the carryover there is $4,446, since no one had the winner in Saturday's last race.
Track handle was $4.70 million Saturday, with a $346,000 purse total.
