Gulfstream Park has an 8-race program Friday with a 12:50 PM post time. It's the last day of Gulfstream's fiscal year.
That
date dictates that all carryover wagers must be paid out to
'clear-the-decks,' for the 2023-2024 racing year that begins July 1st.
The only carryover Friday is the Rainbow 6, with a $149,053 carryover from last Sunday's racing. Approximately 200 winners collected $229.76 Sunday on the Rainbow wager. No winner posted a worse odds than 5:1 then. Gulfstream Park's media office offers more details on their post at: https://gulfstreampark.com/news/mandatory-rainbow-6-payout-set-for-fridays-program-1/
Three favorites won on the day, two in the last 6 races. The longshot winner was Midnight Chaos in race 5 at 4.8:1.
60 runners entered the gates Sunday, 41 in the last 6 races.
The winning program numbers on the last 6 races were: 5-6-7-2-6-2/4.
Total all-sources track handle was $4.41 million Sunday. The purse money totaled $292,000 under rainy-fast conditions.
