No
stakes races are on the card. The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow
6 races, starting at approximately 1:55 PM. The carryover there is $16,951 since the Jackpot was paid out Saturday as a mandatory measure. Sunday's racing started a new cycle for the popular wager.
Gulfstream
will guarantee a $50,000 gross pool Friday if a single winner takes the
Rainbow 6 wager. The Super High-5 wager has a $2,112 carryover also to be available in race #1 if there are 7 or more starters.
Saturday was mandatory payout for the Rainbow 6, along with the last Sire Stakes races of that series. About 1,100 bettors were paid $1,419.30 each on the Rainbow 6 win.
Four favorites won in those races, including Awesome Strong. Atomically won the My Dear Girl Sire Stakes race by 6-3/4 lengths over favorite Lynx.
The Rainbow 6 pool was $1,454,394 with 58 horses in the gate over the 6
races. 100 horses raced on the day under Cloudy and Fast conditions.
The current Sunshine meet will through December 24th racing most Friday through Sundays with a few holiday exceptions.
Total all-sources track handle was $8.57 million Saturday, and $4.32 million Sunday.
