Gulfstream Park plans an 10-race card Thursday, with first post of 1:15 PM, with 100 entries listed to run.
A sole 2 year-old race will be #3; a 4-1/2 furlong run on the dirt – maiden special weight with a $65,000 purse. Post time: 2:15 PM. Let’s Be Honest is the favorite at 5:2.
In
Sunday’s action, the last racing day, 95 starters ran 11 races, with
just two favorites in the winners circle. The wagering and odds data was
very peculiar, in that the long-odds horse was 13:1 on the day in race
6, which led to a huge payout of the Rainbow 6 to 3 winners. The Pick 4
and Pick 5 paid handsomely also. Fifty-Five starters ran the last 6
races. The other odds on races 6-11 were: 3-1, 3-1, 5-1, 6-1, 6-1.
Late Pick 4 paid: $963.25
Late Pick 5 paid: $7,057.85
Rainbow 6 paid: $50,036 to 3 winners.
The Rainbow 6 carryover is now $442,121, as there have been no single winning wager thus far in this meet that began April 4th.
The Super Hi-5 will have a carryover also of $2,709, slated for race 1 with 10 entries listed.
The Rainbow will kick off in race #5 at about a 3:15 PM
Post Time. Fifty One entries are listed on the Thursday card for races
5-10. Sixty-Six entries are listed on the Rainbow 6 scheduled races.
Total track handle from all sources was $7.32 million Sunday, a decline from the $8.57 million wagered Easter Sunday, 2018.
Enjoy your race day!
