Gulfstream Park will host 10 races Friday, under the usual balmy, humid weather in South Florida. Conditions are fast and firm as of Friday morning.
First Post is 2:00 PM under the twilight racing schedule. Last race is 6:30 PM, leaving patrons time for dinner and then the entertainment in the central walking ring.
The popular rainbow 6 jackpot is now $350,661 after 10 winners each won $7,414 on Thursday's wagers. Just one
race spoiled the fun Friday as Princess Knoll at 13:1 edged the favorite to win race 6. That led to the nice payout.
Race 5 kicks off the rainbow 6 at approx. 4:00 PM. Sixty horses are entered in that sequence, expected to be
whittled down due to scratches no doubt. The sole 2 year-old race is race 3. It's a maiden claiming race.
There are no carryovers on the Super High 5, Pick-4 and Pick-5 races Friday.
