GP Rainbow 6 Carryover Nears $900,000

At Gulfstream Park on Sunday, first post is 1:00 p.m. for ten-race card that has no stakes races.

Conditions are listed as Fast and Firm. The Weather Channel forecast is for a zero percent chance of rain during racing hours.

The first race has a Super Hi-5 carryover of $2,580.

Gulfstream has guaranteed that the Sunday pool will be at least $1.4 million if there is just one  winning ticket.  If the combination of the carryover and Sunday's wagering is less than $1.4 million, Gulfstream will put in the difference.

On Saturday, there were 17 tickets  with all six winning hoses.  Each received $14,577.54 for a 20 cent bet.

Program numbers of the winning horses were 1-7-9-4-5-4.

Wagering on the Rainbow 6 was $435,275.  Of that Gulfstream took out 20 percent, divided 56 percent among tickets with six winners and added 24 percent to the carryover.

BAUER'S BETS: Fast & Firm at Tampa

Today's best bet comes in Race 6, eight and one half grassy furlongs for three year olds and up under $25,000 Claiming NW2L conditions.

STREET LEGACY (3) is in a good spot for the   J. Kent Sweezey barn, meeting condition claiming foes for the first time. This gelding won his Maiden condition in his debut on the Tampa Turf by more than five lengths under ace turf pilot Pablo Morales on January 23. He then ran last on the dirt, which he just doesn't like. That race is a throw-out. He gets back on the lawn here and Morales returns. Expect a big effort today.

THE BET $20 to win on STREET LEGACY (3) and a $2 exacta box with TRAVEL AGENT (4) and OLD DOMINION (7).  3,4,7, Total Bet $32
