Two Carryovers for Gulfstream Racing Friday

Gulfstream Park has a 9-race card Friday. First post is at 12:25 PM.

No stakes races are on the card. The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:55 PM. The carryover there is $16,951 since the Jackpot was paid out Saturday as a mandatory measure. Sunday's racing started a new cycle for the popular wager.

Gulfstream will guarantee a $50,000 gross pool Friday if a single winner takes the Rainbow 6 wager. The Super High-5 wager has a $2,112 carryover also to be available in race #1 if there are 7 or more starters.

Saturday was mandatory payout for the Rainbow 6, along with the last Sire Stakes races of that series. About 1,100 bettors were paid $1,419.30 each on the Rainbow 6 win.

Four favorites won in those races, including Awesome Strong.  Atomically won the My Dear Girl Sire Stakes race by 6-3/4 lengths over favorite Lynx. The Rainbow 6 pool was $1,454,394 with 58 horses in the gate over the 6 races. 100 horses raced on the day under Cloudy and Fast conditions.

The current Sunshine meet will through December 24th racing most Friday through Sundays with a few holiday exceptions.

Total all-sources track handle was $8.57 million Saturday, and $4.32 million Sunday.

For a detailed story on both races, surf over to the Gulfstream Park's media post at:  https://gulfstreampark.com/news

We expect $1 million or more be bet Saturday, as that wager will mandatory-payout the entire carryover + Saturday wagers regardless of the number of winners.

Friday's purse size was $239,000 under clear and fast track conditions.

Friday's Gulfstream Racing; 2 Carryovers

Gulfstream plans a 9 race Friday, with a 12:25 PM post time. It will be race day #82 in this meet. Last call to the gate is 4:30 PM.

No stakes races are on the card.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is $392,377 and starts in race 4 near 1:55 PM.
Gulfstream is setting a $550,000 guarantee pool if a single winner hits the Rainbow 6 Friday. The Super High 5 wager has a carryover of $4,808 Friday as well.

In last Sunday’s racing action, just 3 winners collected $23,836.08 each on the $0.20 Rainbow 6 wager. This is the highest payout on a non-mandatory payout day since July 8th.

The long-odds winner Sunday was Arete’s Chaline at 30:1 winning the last race (11) by 2-1/2 lengths. Favorite Adios Babe finished 4th. Five favorites won on the day, the first 5 races !

The Late Pick 4 and Late Pick 5 paid handsome sums of $3,178 and $22,984 respectively. We estimate 21 winners on the Late pick 4 and four winners of the late Pick 5. A rather strange wagering and payout day for sure.

All sources track handle was $4.86 million Sunday.
Good Luck !

Sunday's Gulfstream; 2 Carryovers, 12:25 First Post

Gulfstream Park has a 11-race card Sunday. First post is at 12:25 PM. Last post is near 5:33 PM.

No stakes races are on the card. The 6th through 11th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:50 PM, just like Saturday's schedule. The carryover there is $361,731. October 2 is the last day the last day of this Royal Palm Meet that commenced back in April. We reported prior that the meet ends September 25th in error. Gulfstream is offering a $500,000 guaranteed gross pool Sunday if one winner takes down the Rainbow 6 wager.

In Saturday's 11 races, 292 bettors were paid $255.18 each on the Rainbow 6 win. Five favorites won in the Rainbow races, making it fairly easy to win this wager. There were 8 favorite wins on the race day also, a high-mark that's not seen much. Lights of Broadway (2.3:1) won the Armed Forces Stakes by a neck over Cheerful Charlie (7:1).

The high odds win was Chasing Joy at 3.8:1 in race 9. When the high-odds win of the day is below 4:1, you know the payouts will be small. The Super High-5 wager will have a carryover Sunday of $2,358 in race 1 if there are 7 or more starters; entries list 9 starters as of Saturday night.

Forty-eight horses ran in the last 6 races.

Total all-sources track handle was $6.54 million Saturday.
Saturday's purse size was $376,000
