Champions Meet Debuts Friday at Gulfstream Park

Gulfstream Park will kick off it's Champions Racing meet Friday, December 1st with a 12:10 PM Post Time at its track in Hallandale Beach, Florida.

Nice races are planned on the card, including 2 turf races. Races 1 and 8 will be run on the turf, the first such running on the grass since late May. The all-weather track replaced the turf track for many races since then. The all-weather - called Tapeta - track debuted 9/30/21, the first of its type. It will be interesting to watch the results on turf tomorrow.

The Winter (Champion's Meet) will add Thursday's to the schedule, for a 4-day race week. The Winter meet is the most active, as many owners ship horses to Gulfstream and Tampa Bay Down's.

Gulfstream announced a mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 wager in Saturday's racing, when two Florida Sire Stakes races will be run. (see image here).
