Gulfstream Park has a 9-race card Thursday. First post is 12:10 PM.
No stakes races are on the card. The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:40 PM. That carryover stands at $310,894. Gulfstream (GP) is setting a $400,000 guaranteed gross jackpot pool. That is, if one winner exists, and the wagering + the carryover does not reach that $400,000 level.
In Wednesday's racing, 250 winners collected a smallish $266.68 each in the Rainbow 6, on a betting pool of $119,405.
Forty-six runners entered the gates for the Rainbow. The long-odds winner was just 5.6:1 in race 8, when Train to Artemus bested Love and Money favorite by a nose. Two favorites won in the Rainbow 6 races.
The late Pick 4 and Pick 5 paid meager returns of $153.50 and $399.80 respectively.
Total all-sources track handle was $4.78 million Wednesday, while the purse size was $382,000.
