Florida's Gulfstream Park will run an 8-race card Thursday, with first post time of 12:50 PM. There are no stakes races.
Three turf races are planned: #4,6,8. Four of the last 5 race days have seen multiple off turf races due to rain. There is just one carryover to consider: The Rainbow 6 wager.
The carryover is $108,768
on the 20 cent bet in day # 6 of the new wagering sequence. September
11th was the last Mandatory payout. One advantage perhaps is the lower
field sizes of the 6 races; just 46 on average the past 5 race days.
Betting pools are near $100,000 the last two days, but ramp up when the
carryover increases.
So a Thursday or Friday wager may face less competition than the increased weekend bettors. Just a thought.
In Sunday's racing, 9/19; 19 winners split the $111,112 pool, each taking $3,275 on the Rainbow (Pick-6) bet.
Good Luck.
