GP Carryover Reaches $661,436

The carryover on the Rainbow 6  at Gulfstream Park has grown to  $661,436 for Friday.

First post will be 1:00 p.m. for the ten-race card.

On the first race there is a Super Hi-5 carryover of $6,747.  The race is a maiden claimer for fillies and mares 4-years-old and up, at 1 1/16 miles on turf   The purse is $35,000 and the claiming price is $40,000.

The Rainbow  6 will be on races  five through ten, with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:03  p.m.

The carryover is ten race days old.   That dates  back to Jan. 30--the last time there was just one    ticket with  the winners of all  six Rainbow 6 races.

On Thursday, there were only five tickets with all  six winners, Each was paid $34,235.44 on the 20 cents only bet.

Program numbers of the winning horses were 1-5-2-4-11-4.

Two winners were long shots.  Shellphone at 33-1 won the fifth race (first leg) and Lena Home at 15-1  won the ninth race.  The other four winners were at  7-2  or lower odds.

Wagering on the Rainbow 6  was $300,851.  Of that  Gulfstream took out 20 percent, divided 56 percent among winning tickets and added 24 ;percent to the carryover.
