Bauer's Bets: Today's Results
We were close, but no cigar. Our choice in Race 5, FLASHY KYEM (3) ran well, but ended up in third place. Meanwhile the chalk NOBLE THOUGHT (2) was the odds-on winner and our exacta play was first and third. Lost $22. The deficit is now $405. Racing resumes on Friday.
Bauer's Bets: Fast & Firm At Tampa, Wednesday's Play Of The Day
Today's play involves the type of race that horseplayers wait for. There is a vulnerable odds-on favorite in Race 5, NOBLE THOUGHT (2) who at 4-5 on the morning line is a severe underlay. The pace dynamics will work against this late runner and his trainer is 0 for 15 in Tampa this winter. FLASHY KYEM (3) looks to be well spotted for the upset at 6-1 for the red-hot Kieth Nations and Jose Ferrer combo. He should be the lone early speed here and can lead this bunch on a merry chase. THE BET: $10 to win on FLASHY KYEM (3) and a $2 exacta box with NOBLE THOUGHT (2) and RED CRESCENT (5). 2,3,5
Total Bet: $22. GOOD LUCK
