Friday's Gulfstream Racing; 12:10 pm Post Time

 

Gulfstream Park racing plans an 9-race program Friday to start its live 3 days of racing; with a 12:10 p.m. post time. That's 40 minutes earlier due to the Daylight Saving Time change. No stakes races are listed on the card.

The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:35 PM. The carryover Friday on this bet will be $77,622. Friday will be race day 8 in this carryover of the Rainbow 6.

Gulfstream paid out $306.50 on the Rainbow last Sunday, the last live racing day.

Four post time favorites won on Sunday, all of them in the last 6 races. That, along with 6 scratches, dwindled the chances of a single jackpot winner. Eternal Flame at 5.8:1 was the longshot win in race 6.

The winning program numbers on the Rainbow 6 (last 6 races) were: 6-3-2-5/6-3/5/6/7-1/2/6.  

Total all-sources track handle was $4.66 million Sunday.

Sunday's Gulfstream Racing; 12:50 PM Post Time

The post time is 12:50 PM.

In Saturday's racing, the Rainbow 6 wager paid $3,318.90 to 8 winners. The 15:1 win by El Socio in the last race was the clincher for the lucky 8. Five post-time favorites won on the day, 2 in the final 6 races. The late pick 4 and pick 5 paid $674 and $2,518 respectively.

So the Sunday Rainbow carryover is $61,137. Race 4 will start the Rainbow 6 sequence Sunday at approximately 2:20 p.m. Gulfstream is placing a $100,000 guaranteed betting pool on the Rainbow 6 should wagering not at least equal that. The $100,000 is a gross pool guarantee and only applies if one jackpot Rainbow 6 winner emerges.

The winning Rainbow 6 program #'s Saturday were: 3-8-4-9-1/4/7-7.

Total all-sources track handle was $5.28 million Saturday.

Gulfstream Park has an 11-race card Saturday, November 4th.
First post is at 12:40 PM in Hallandale Beach, Fla. Two stakes races are on the card: the Armed Forces in race 5, and the Showing Up Stakes in race 10. Both are $65,000 purse races on the all-weather track, known also as Tapeta track surface.

Race 6 kicks off the Rainbow 6 wager at about 3:30 PM with a carryover Saturday of $49,758.

On Friday, the rainbow wager paid $864.52. Three favorites won on the day, all in the last 6 races. The Early pick 5 paid $3,402.00 while the Late pick 5 paid $803.40. The Super High 5 wager carried over from Sunday - added to that pool in race 1 Friday, and paid out $1,716.10 in race 2.

The winning Rainbow 6 program #'s: 4/8-8-4-9-6/7-9/13. 

Total all-sources track handle was $4.94 million Friday.

Friday's Gulfstream; 3 Carryovers; 12:50 PM Post

 

Gulfstream Park racing plans an 9-race program Friday to start its live 3 days of racing; with a 12:50 p.m. post time. Two stakes races are listed on the racing card in races 3 and 8; both $65,000 purse races on the Tapeta track.

The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 2:20 PM. The carryover Friday on this bet will be $42,107.
Gulfstream paid out $9,114 on the Rainbow last Sunday.

Interestingly, the late Pick 5 also has a rare carryover today, at $48,216. Four of 5 paid $150.30 on Sunday. Lastly, the Super High 5 carrys over with a $15,919 amount.

The winning program numbers on the Rainbow (last 6 races) were: 2-1/3/7-5-7-4-2.  

Total all-sources track handle was $3.37 million Sunday.
