Gulfstream: 10 Races Saturday 12:20 PM Post

Gulfstream Park will resume racing Saturday, Oct. 2 with a 10 race schedule and a 12:20 P.M. post time.

There are no stakes races planned. Five races are scheduled on the ALL WEATHER TRACK, as Gulfstream describes it. This new track surface made its debut on Thursday with 5 races, and another 4 races on Friday under Showery conditions. Five of 9 races were won by the favorites thus far.

This is the first October racing in many years at the Hallandale, Fla. track, after Gulfstream ended its Fall Meet (October-November) contract with Churchill Downs in late 2020.

That means Gulfstream will now offer year-round racing at one facility. Friday's racing action included a $3.75 million handle, 9 races, and a nice $21,275 payout on the Rainbow 6 wager. Just 2 winners had the correct horses in all six races! The Late Pick 5 paid even more, $37,648.

Saturday's carryover will be $252,130 for the Rainbow 6, with a post time of 2:52 PM starting in race 5 for the wagering sequence. The Super High 5 bet also has a $3,878 carryover. That wager will comence in the first race with 7 or more starters Saturday.

Good Luck!
