JACKISM (2) is in a good spot for trainer Dennis Ward in Race 5. This sophomore gelding had run ok in three tries with $16,000 open company rivals, but really wasn't a threat with that kind. Today, his tag is cut 1/2 to $8,000 and he faces non-winners of two races lifetime for the first time. Bauer's Bets: Today's Results
Things started out just fine, our choice SARATOGA BELLE (2) took the lead with the other half of our $5 exacta box ELECTRIC (7) and it appeared they would be 1-2 around the course. But no, SARATOGA BELLE tired in the stretch and finished fourth, Electric went on to win and we lost $26.00. The deficit is now $421.20.

Bauer's Bets: Fast & Firm At Tampa, Friday's Play Of The Day
SARATOGA BELLE (2) appears to be in a good spot to graduate in Race 4. This four-year old filly from the powerful Delacour outfit showed that she likes 5 furlongs on the Tampa turf. Back on February 15, she ran a good third, missing by less than a length under Dan Centeno. She has been freshened since then and has logged five works in the meantime. She gets blinkers on and Centeno retains the mount. THE BET: $10 to win on SARATOGA BELLE (2) and a $5 exacta box with ELECTRIC (7). Also, a $2 exacta part-wheel 2 with 3,6,7. Total Bet $26.
