Rainbow 6 Set to Start with $828,000 Caryover

The off-the-turf fifth race is coming up at Gulfstream to start the Rainbow 6.

The carryover coming in is $828,291--built up  over 19 days .

Bauer's Bets: Sloppy at Tampa Race 3

In Race 3 we are going to try and beat the favorite RAFTING (3) with HOLD THE GIANT (2) who is 5/1 right now. Hot jockey Edwin Gonzalez takes the mount, who is 1 for 1 on wet tracks. Will bet $5 win and place on HOLD THE GIANT AND $3 Exacta boxes 2 with RAFTING (3) and 2 with DO YAHAWANNA SALSA  (4). Total Investment $22. GOOD LUCK 

Wednesday: Off the Turf at Both Florida Tracks; GP Rainbow 6 Carryover at $828,291

Racing has been taken off the turf on Wednesday at Gulfstream Park and at Tampa Bay Downs.

Those surface switches follow a Tuesday when both tracks were dark, and when rain was heavy in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area and in the Tampa Bay  area.

At Tampa Bay today, the dirt track is listed as good for a ten-race card that has first post of 12:25 p.m.

At Gulfstream, the dirt track is listed as sloppy for a ten-race card that has first post of 12:35 p.m. 

The day’s main attraction is Gulfstream’s  Rainbow 6 carryover that has grown to $828,291.  It will be on races five through to ten.
