Gulfstream Park has a nine-race card on Thursday, with
first post coming up at 1:15 p.m.
The feature is the sixth race. It is a one-mile turf allowance/optional claimer for 3-year-olds

Two
Step Time and Quiet Force, both trained by Mike Maker, are likely favorites in a seven-horse field.
Two Step Time’s last ten races have been stakes. The 4-year-old colt finished third or better
in three of them.

by Get
Away Farm.
Quiet Force has finished third or better in six of his
eleven turf starts at Gulfstream. That
includes three victories.
Tyler Gaffalione will ride Quiet Force, a non-gelded 7-year-old owned by Rev it Up
Racing and Imaginary Stables.
Bashart
(Patrick Biancone-Anthony Crastus) and the late-running J R’s Holiday (Henry Collazo-Martin Ramirez) are main threats to the Maker horses.

Gulfstream Rainbow 6 Carryover Reaches $42,453
Gulfstream will have a nine-race card with first post of 1:15 p.m. The Rainbow 6 will be on races four to nine, with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:43 p.m.
On Wednesday, there were 185 tickets
with the winners in all six Rainbow 6 races. Each of those tickets received
$129.38.
HorseRacingFLA’s review of Equibase
charts shows that was the 11th lowest Rainbow 6 payoff at Gulfstream
since we began tracking that data in
August 2015.
The low payoff came on a day when the odds on the six winning horses
were: 1-1, 8-5, 5-2, 6-5, 3-2 and 5-2.
Wednesday was the third straight
race day with multiple winning tickets in the Rainbow 6—thus continuing the
carryover.
Gulfstream pays out the Rainbow 6 jackpot only on days when there is just one
ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
The jackpot is the combination of
the full carryover plus 80 percent of
the day’s new Rainbow 6 bet (20 percent takeout).
On
days with multiple winning tickets, Gulfstream takes out 20 percent of the
day’s Rainbow 6 bet. It then divides 56 percent of the day’s Rainbow 6 bet
among tickets with the most winners (usually six) and adds 24 percent to the
carryover.
On
Wednesday, the carryover coming in was $32,283. Bettors added $42,212 to the Rainbow
6 pool.
The
Rainbow 6 is a 20-cent per combination-only bet. Multiple horses can be used in
each race, thus setting up a ticket with multiple 20 cent
combinations. For example, a ticket with two horses in each race has
64 combinations and costs $12.80.
