Gulfstream Off the Turf for Friday

Due to wet conditions and the likelihood of more
rain, there will be no turf racing at Gulfstream Park on Friday.

First post is 2:15 p.m. for a nine-race  card.

The first, third, fifth, seventh and ninth races were scheduled for the turf. Gulfstream has moved them to the dirt track that - as of 1:00 p.m. - is listed as fast.

Weather forecasters anticipate that Hurricane Dorian will make landfall on the S.E. coast of Florida sometime Sunday evening.

It is likely that Gulfstream will feel some impact in Hallandale Beach, Fla., which is situated about halfway between Miami and and Fort Lauderdale.

We will keep you posted when Gulfstream decides whether or not to run its  races that are scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day Monday.

Today's race card has a Rainbow 6 carryover of $961,289.50.

The Rainbow 6, a 20-cent per combination bet, will be on races four to nine with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:49 p.m.
