Carried Over Super Hi-5 Pays $21,351.90 at Gulfstream

The  carried-over Super Hi-5 was hit in the first race at Gulfstream Park on Sunday and it paid $21,351.90 for the minimum $1 bet.

There apparently was just one winning ticket.

The carryover coming in was $8,551.  Bettors added $16,368, on which there was an 18 percent takeout. Doing the math indicates there was one winning ticket.

The race was a $35,000 maiden claimer for  2-year-olds at about  7 1/2 furlongs on turf.

The 8-5 favorite Garbar Boy (3) won it by  a half length over Majestic Luna (5) at 8-1. The  order of  finish was 3 5 6 7 2.

Jeffrey Sanchez rode Garbar Boy for trainer Armando  De La Cerda.  The winning time on the course listed as firm was 1:34.01
