5 to 1 shot WELL HUMORED (4) defeated 2 to 5 favorite TAPA TAPA TAPA (2) in this years edition of the Wayward Lass Stakes. The time for the mile and one-sixteenth was 1:43.86, 1/100 of a second better than the previous record. WELL HUMORED, trained by Araud Delacour and ridden by Daniel Centeno dueled through the stretch with the favorite, and would not be denied.
Third was SWEET LEGACY (7) completing the 4,2,7 trifecta worth $314.00 The $2 exacta 4,2 paid $31.60. WELL HUMORED returned $12.80, $3.60 and $3.20 in her first stakes win in only 4 lifetime starts. We'll hear more from this one later on this season. She's a filly with a future.
