GP West: Friday Late Pick 5 Carryover is $34,004

The Gulfstream Park West meet has a Late Pick
5 carryover of $34,004 on Friday.

It will be on races six through ten, with  the sequence scheduled to  start  at  3:15 p.m.
First post is 12:35 p.m. for a ten-race card, at Calder  in Miami Gardens.

Conditions are fast and firm, and the Weather  Channel forecast is  for a zero percent chance of rain during racing hours.

We will have coverage on our blog, which can be accessed on the menu bar at the top  of the  home age  of this Web site.

Past experiences with Late Pick 5 carryovers at  GP West and at Gulfstream Park indicate that as much as $200,000 will be bet on the Late Pick 5. Many bettors will hop in, chasing money that others have lost.

For example, last Saturday Oct. 28 there was a Late  Pick  5 carryover of $19,901 going into the card. Bettors  added $120,549 to  the pool.

On the GP West first  race, there is a Super  Hi-5 carryover of $2,539,

The carryover on the Rainbow  6 has grown to $5,734.  It is on races  five  through ten.

On Thursday, three of the winners  in the Late  Pick 5 were at odds of 9-1 or  higher.  As a result, there were no tickets with the winners of all five Late Pick 5 races.
An undetermined number of tickets that had four winners were paid $316.50 on the minimum 50 cent bet.

*At Gulfstream in Hallandale Beach, there will be simulcast coverage and wagering on the Friday card at Del Mar that includes four Breeders’ Cup races.
First post at the track in Del Mar, Calif., is 2:25 p.m. Eastern.  The four Breeders’ Cup races are the sixth through ninth, with the sequence scheduled to start at 5:25 p.m. Eastern.

There is no simulcast wagering at GP West/Calder. That is one of the reasons why meet sponsor Gulfstream Park has been encouraging South Florida fans to go to Gulfstream to watch and wager on the simulcasts from GP West and other tracks.

On Saturday, Gulfstream will have its regular simulcast menu including Del Mar.

*Tampa  Bay Downs will not resume live racing until Nov. 25.

On Friday and Saturday, as on all other days, Tampa Bay will have its regular simulcast menu including GP West and Del Mar.
