Gasparilla Trove unseated his jockey Pedro Monterrey Jr. during Friday's fifth race at the Gulfstream Park West meet.
The last glimpse of the replay showed Monterrey on his knees and attempting to get on his feet. We will have details when they become available.
Gasparilla Trove was leading and was near the rail early in the stretch, when he veered inward and Monterrey fell.
Gasparilla Trove stayed on hs feet and continued to run past the finish line. Rachel's Warrior won the race.
